Snowtrekker Tent Setup
Have you ever wondered how the crew at Snowtrekker Tents set up a tent? Are you interested in a Snowtrekker Tent of your own but are unsure of how hard it is to set up by yourself? Join Jonah as he sets up a 13x13 Mega Crew by himself. Snowtrekker Tent’s free-standing frame and extremal guy out design make setting up even one of our larger tents by yourself a very uncomplicated process. We also go over how this tent differs from other models, but how if you are familiar with the basic idea it translates to all the tents across our entire line. Some may have a few more pickets and guy out ropes, but the principle of how a Snowtrekker Tent is set up is always the same. With a little practice, and our tips and tricks you can easily learn to set up your own tent in under 20 minutes!
The frame goes together in a sawhorse type configuration. There are 3 way unions that join the 4 legs and ridge pole. Make sure door is zippered shut to not place undue stress on it when opening/closing if pulled too taut. Place the tent over the frame and slip the bottoms of the 4 legs then into the small triangular pockets sewn into the 4 corners of the base of the tent. Stretch the tent out and either turn the snow flap to the outside and anchor it with snow or in summer turn it in and anchor the tent with stakes.
Slide the side guy-out poles through sleeves on both sides. In 2” spaces between sleeves, clip on the orange guy out clips. Take the picket poles, place one end in the grommet in the guy-out fitting and the other tip in the grommet in the stake loop directly below. Guy these sides out and tension, firmly but not over tight.
