For years, Duane at Snowtrekker has seen the need for a semi-portable canvas sauna tent and has tinkered with various prototypes in the north woods of Wisconsin. Eventually teaming up with our friends at Stormy Kromer, the result is a sauna tent that reflects the craftsmanship folks have come to expect from both our brands.  Made from the best materials we could find for the job, this tent is just as rugged and durable as any tent we would send into the far northern Boreal forest in the depth of the winter, but will fit right in to adventures closer to home.

Sure, you can build a permanent sauna by your house or garage, but can you put it up on the lakeshore?  In many cases you can’t, but our sauna has no such restrictions, because you are not limited by regulations for permanent structures, or accessibility to get a portable sauna trailer to your chosen location.  We purposely designed a sauna whose placement is only limited by your imagination, and it is a great solution for anyone who wants the ease of use of a permanent sauna, but cannot build a permanent sauna or place a sauna trailer in the spot you would like.

Designed to Stay Up

The Snowtrekker Sauna has far superior structural integrity compared to other tent saunas on the market.  It is designed to be set up and left up for months at a time, so it is always ready for your next sauna session, with no need to constantly set up and break down your pop-up sauna. When your sauna season ends, however, you can very easily break it down and store it away.  

So Why a Snowtrekker Sauna Tent?  

  • Quality materials and craftsmanship:  Snowtrekker very carefully chooses every component in everything we make to be the highest quality and the best product for its purpose.  We spare no expenses in sourcing the highest quality materials on the market.  When you have worn out your third or fourth synthetic sauna tent ours will still be serving you just as well as the day you purchased it.

    • The sauna tent itself is constructed of our custom 7oz cotton canvas Snowtrekker Tent fabric, just like all our tents, but with two layers for heat retention.

    • It is vented properly for combustion air for the sauna stove and fresh air exchange.

    • The base of the tent and the sod cloth are constructed of a coated polyester fabric that protects the tent from ground moisture when set up for extended periods of time.  

    • The full coverage rain fly is also constructed with the coated polyester fabric. This fabric, called Pyrocell, is flame retardant, 100% waterproof, and has extremely high UV resistance characteristics, providing additional protection for the sauna tent during extended set up.

  • Size:  As with all our designs we pack a lot of room in an efficiently sized space, coupled with the fact that it is not a permanent structure, you can place your Sauna Tent anywhere you have room.    

    • The sauna tent can comfortably seat 4-6 people on benches.     

    • With a footprint of just six feet by eight feet this really is a sauna that can go where other saunas cannot.

  • Portability:  The Snowtrekker Sauna Tent was designed to be both portable and incredibly durable and sturdy.  While it may not be as quick to setup as a popup sauna, it is significantly more secure and stable and feels more like a permanent sauna and less like an ice fishing house

  • Flexibility:  With the ability to both set the sauna up on the ground or on a platform the placement of our sauna is only limited by your imagination and available space.  We will often have a semi permanent platform for our seasonal location, but also use the sauna off of the platform if we want to travel with it.
